About Me (3rd person re-mix)

Christina Soong is an award-winning writer, photographer, blogger, recipe developer, food stylist and consultant. She was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and has lived and worked in London (twice), Leeds, Melbourne (twice), Hong Kong and Shanghai. She currently resides in Adelaide with her two children.

Previously, Christina spent over a decade working in senior marketing, business development, fundraising and event management roles for leading not-for-profits: her last full-time job was executive director of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

A former editor of On Dit, Adelaide University’s student newspaper, she been a contributor to Tiger Tales, About.com, The China Daily, That’s Shanghai, Sumptuous, The Adelaide Review, Honest Cooking, 8 Days, Arts Hub and Rip It Up. Her work has also appeared in Elle, Elle Decor, The Huffington Post, Gourmet, Buzzfeed, Apartment Therapy, The Kitchn, The Hoopla, Just B, KidSpot and The Cultureist.

Christina has been interviewed by Channel 7’s SA Life, Radio National, ABC Radio, 3RRR’s Eat It, Aspire Magazine, She Knows, and Glam Adelaide, and profiled in InDaily, Aspire, Food & Home Entertaining and Pedestrian TV.

In early 2014, Christina’s blog, The Hungry Australian, was judged both Overall Winner and Best Food Blog at the Australian Writers’ Centre’s Best Australian Blogs 2014 competition.
